Bullieverse is an open metaverse game where players acquire NFTs with unique attributes that grant access to different digital domains and experiences. Because these NFTs are fundamental to rewarding gameplay, Bullieverse announced this week that it integrated Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) on Ethereum and Polygon to fairly and transparently distribute its newest and all future NFT collections.
Bullieverse’s Chief Growth Officer, Arun Krishnakumar, told Chainlink Today that the integration represents a key milestone for Bullieverse in providing the highest degree of transparency to its loyal community.
“The integration has shown us the criticality of transparency,” he said. “The community appreciates the importance of this milestone. The way Bullieverse is built, we see NFTs being fundamental to our roadmap. Therefore, all our NFT minting processes are and will be using Chainlink VRF.”
VRF will initially power the distribution of Bullieverse’s new Bear NFTs, whose unique traits give players different abilities in Bullieverse’s first metaverse location, Bulliever Island. Bear NFTs are an important component of “The Bear Hunt” – the first of many anticipated Bullieverse games – in which holders of Bullieverse’s inaugural Bull NFTs hunt bears to win Bear NFTs.
In addition to developing a battle royale game around its Bull and Bear NFTs, Bullieverse is collaborating on an interoperable, cross-IP metaverse where Bullieverse NFTs interact with outside NFT collections. The project’s roadmap also includes a path for progressive decentralization through its DAO, resulting in a community-owned metaverse governed by holders of its native token.
Because The Bear Hunt’s play-to-mint experience is the first of such games in Bulliever Island, Krishnakumar said integrating Chainlink VRF as a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness sets a high standard for expanding the Bullieverse.
“Ultimately this gives our users more transparency as they can verify that everyone has equal access to the most valuable Bear NFTs,” he said. “We feel that the integration has brought immense credibility to the platform and helped us demonstrate that we are in line with web3 ethos with our execution.”
