After a comprehensive security review conducted in light of recent industry events, Yuzu Money, a decentralized yield protocol delivering institutional-grade risk management, has adopted Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure.
The migration replaces Yuzu Money’s previous LayerZero OFT bridging integration and unlocks the secure expansion and distribution of the protocol’s assets across the multi-chain DeFi ecosystem.
Yuzu Money is the latest of numerous protocols representing a combined TVL of more than $4.8 billion to adopt CCIP following a LayerZero exploit that resulted in nearly $300 million in losses across DeFi. Solv Protocol, the largest Bitcoin staking protocol, and Virtuals Protocol, an AI agent economic layer, are among top protocols that have upgraded to Chainlink’s secure-by-default oracle infrastructure.
Chainlink powers 70% of global DeFi markets across 80+ networks and has enabled over $32 trillion in onchain transaction value. As the only oracle platform to achieve ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, Chainlink is also being adopted by the world’s largest financial institutions, including Swift, Euroclear, UBS, Wellington Management, ANZ, and Fidelity International, to bring capital markets onchain.
CCIP maintains the industry’s highest level of cross-chain security, backed by a separate Risk Management Network. Compared to bridge solutions with only one or two centrally controlled nodes, each CCIP bridge lane is secured by at least 16 independent, security-reviewed node operators, while native rate limits act as circuit breakers to help limit the impact of anomalies or extreme volatility.
Yuzu Money has also adopted Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard to power a burn-and-mint bridging model with a single canonical token across chains. The CCT standard gives Yuzu Money full ownership of its token contracts, reduces external dependencies, and eliminates vendor lock-in while preserving flexibility for future updates.
CCIP also allows Yuzu Money to layer additional validation from its own Security Consortium alongside Chainlink’s infrastructure, enabling custom transfer rules, transparent audit records, adaptable verification logic, and full control over how assets move between chains.
Yuzu Money bundles complex high-yield crypto investments into its overcollateralized, USD-referenced synthetic stablecoin, yzUSD. By securing its cross-chain foundation with CCIP, the protocol positions its assets to scale across new ecosystems with institutional-grade assurance.
