The month of June flew by for Chainlink. The Chainlink ecosystem added 52 new integrations, while projects like NFT marketplace Nifty Royale integrated Chainlink Keepers, a new decentralized service that reliably automates smart contract triggers.
Chainlink also expanded its social impact grants through the Chainlink Community Grant Program, deepening support of initiatives like Green World Campaign, which received a Chainlink grant for its application of hybrid smart contracts to fight the effects of climate change.
Chainlink Co-founder Sergey Nazarov had an inspiring conversation with Matthieu de Heering at SWIFT’s Smarter Securities virtual event. The discussion highlighted the need for banks and financial institutions to prepare to participate in decentralized finance (DeFi).
The insurance industry is also being revolutionized by hybrid smart contracts. This month, the founders of blockchain-based parametric insurance platform Arbol launched the first decentralized weather and climate data marketplace, dClimate, which is also powered by Chainlink oracles. The project quickly attracted Mark Cuban, who said dClimate can be “the go-to platform for every organization that uses or builds with climate data,” as an investor and strategic advisor.
Exciting new projects that integrated Chainlink in June include ApeSwap, which integrated Chainlink VRF to fairly distribute awards to its NFA (Non-Fungible Ape) holders; Request, which integrated Chainlink Price Feeds to automate decentralized fiat-to-crypto conversions that allow fiat invoices to be paid in cryptocurrency; and Strata, which integrated Chainlink VRF to generate dynamic NFTs from the work of acclaimed artist Héctor Falcón.
As the Chainlink ecosystem continues to grow, so does the team at Chainlink Labs. Recently, Chainlink Labs was ranked number one on FlexJobs’ list of Top 25 Companies That Hire for Work-From-Anywhere Jobs. In a statement to Andy Medici for The Business Journals, Head of Talent Acquisition at Chainlink Labs, Mehdi Hasan, said, “Everyone around the world should have the opportunity to work with us on this revolutionary project.”
