Yesterday, Chainlink Labs announced that registration is open for Smart Contract Summit #1, the premier Chainlink-powered blockchain conference and the largest annual Chainlink event. The virtual conference will take place August 5-7, 2021 and will feature three full days of keynotes, panels, workshops and AMAs from top DeFi and dynamic NFT projects, developers, entrepreneurs and enterprise leaders.
Tickets for SmartCon #1 are free but limited and early registration is encouraged. Last year’s SmartCon #0, the first-ever Smart Contract Summit, attracted over 8,000 attendees from more than 100 countries and all seven continents. Participants tuned in to hear over 130 experts speak about cutting-edge research and the future of decentralized technology.
On the heels of the Chainlink 2.0 whitepaper and Chainlink’s two-year mainnet anniversary, SmartCon #1 will feature a world-class lineup of over 200 expert speakers from top DeFi protocols (Aave, Ampleforth, Bancor), Layer 1s and Layer 2s (Avalanche, Arbitrum, Plasm), dynamic NFT projects (Aavegotchi, Polkamon) and leaders in the Chainlink ecosystem, including Chainlink Co-founder Sergey Nazarov and Chainlink Labs’ Chief Scientist Ari Juels, alongside notable Chainlink node operators, data providers and researchers – with more presenters still to be announced.
The goal of SmartCon is to connect the entire, rapidly growing Chainlink ecosystem and community in one (virtual) place where attendees have a unique opportunity to engage with top teams and peel back the layers of projects pioneering new decentralized economies. This year’s topics will include the future of DeFi, enterprise blockchain adoption, decentralized oracle networks (DONs) and hybrid smart contracts.
