Tokenized asset issuance protocol Tenbin has joined an industry-wide migration to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). After an extensive security review, Tenbin officially deprecated its LayerZero bridges and upgraded to CCIP as the exclusive bridging infrastructure for all tokenized assets, including tGLD, tMXN, and tBRL, across the multi-chain ecosystem.
As the industry’s most decentralized and resilient oracle platform, Chainlink has facilitated over $30 trillion in transaction value and is officially recognized by the White House as critical infrastructure for the onchain economy. CCIP maintains the highest level of cross-chain security, backed by a separate Risk Management Network, and is the only interoperability solution to achieve key institutional security standards, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2.
Tenbin was created to enable a new class of tokenized real-world assets that are yield-bearing, readily swappable, liquidatable, and composable across DeFi, starting with FX stablecoins, gold, and commodities. Backed by top-tier venture funds such as Galaxy, Tenbin is building an ecosystem where tokenized assets offer greater utility and efficiency than their offchain counterparts.
Tenbin is among numerous protocols with a combined TVL of over $4 billion, including Kraken, Re, Kelp, Huma Finance, and Solv, that migrated from LayerZero to CCIP after a recent LayerZero exploit resulted in nearly $300 million in losses across DeFi.
Chainlink’s node architecture establishes security by default. Compared to bridge solutions with only one or two centrally controlled nodes, each CCIP bridge lane is secured by 16 independent, security-reviewed node operators, ensuring every cross-chain transaction is redundantly validated. Additional built-in security features include native rate limits that act as circuit breakers limiting the impact of anomalies or extreme market volatility.
“Recent incidents in our space have made it abundantly clear that bridging protocols carry a serious responsibility: they must take extreme caution to ensure consistent security guarantees across all assets, under all market conditions and operational circumstances,” said Tenbin Labs’ co-founder and CEO, Yuki Yuminaga, in an official announcement.
“By migrating to Chainlink CCIP as our exclusive cross-chain infrastructure and adopting the Chainlink data standard, Tenbin positions itself to safely scale its tokenized assets, like tGLD, tMXN, and tBRL, across markets and chains without the risk of compromising user assets.”
