Sergey Nazarov Thanks Community For Playing Critical Role In Chainlink’s Evolution

Ahead of the 2022 Chainlink SmartCon taking place September 28-29 in New York City, Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov joined Twitter Spaces for a town hall to discuss the future of the Chainlink Network and answer questions submitted by the Chainlink community. Over 2,500 people tuned in to listen live.

Nazarov began by taking time to thank the Chainlink community for accelerating the global shift toward a world powered by cryptographic truth.

“The first thing I want to say whenever I have an opportunity to express it clearly is to thank our community for all the effort and thoughtfulness they put into explaining what we do and supporting us however they can,” he said.

“I think it is very important that we have a vocal and positive community that understands what we’re doing and understands what a world powered by cryptographic truth means. Because once enough people believe in a societal shift towards something such as a world powered by cryptographic truth, it starts to happen faster. And then as it happens faster, more people believe in it, and it happens even faster.”

Nazarov said he believes both the Chainlink community and the crypto community as a whole play an important role on platforms like Twitter by showcasing the benefits of cryptographically guaranteed systems and broadcasting their shared conviction that Chainlink oracles can help build a better world.

“Without the active and very vocal communities in our industry, we really wouldn’t be nearly as far along,” he said. “And so I think it’s a critical part of the puzzle of how our industry is now rapidly rising to become the way that applications should work, the way the world should work. Because, as you might have noticed, the whole world is now run by applications.”
