HashKey Chain Enhances HSK With Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token Standard

Today, HashKey Chain, a compliance-focused layer-2 connecting capital markets and DeFi, announced it’s deepening its integration of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) by adopting the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard to expand the utility of its native token, HSK.

CCIP leverages Chainlink’s industry-leading decentralized oracle network, which has enabled over $21 trillion in transaction value across 50+ blockchain networks including HashKey, which integrated CCIP as its canonical cross-chain infrastructure earlier this year.

As the industry standard for digital asset and data transfer used by leading blockchains, layer-2s, DeFi protocols, and traditional financial institutions, CCIP achieves the highest level of cross-chain security backed by a separate Risk Management Network.

Developers on supported blockchains can use the CCT standard to turn any ERC-20-compatible token into a CCT with additional security and reliability benefits including configurable rate limits, self-serve deployments, and zero-slippage transfers.

CCIP now facilitates secure transfers of wHSK, the wrapped version of HSK, between HashKey Chain and multiple top blockchains including Arbitrum and Base. Users can also transfer HSK via CCIP-powered bridging applications such as Transporter and XSwap. With the CCT standard, HSK expands its reach throughout the multi-chain ecosystem, allowing developers to build cross-chain applications that support a growing spectrum of tokenized real-world assets.

“We’re excited to extend our adoption of Chainlink CCIP, the standard for cross-chain interoperability, by making HSK a Cross-Chain Token (CCT),” said Kay, HashKey Chain’s CEO, in an official announcement. “This makes our native token available across leading blockchain ecosystems, enhancing its utility and accessibility across a significantly larger user base.”

Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, added, “With CCIP as the canonical bridge, HSK becomes a seamlessly composable asset across leading chains, opening the door for developers to integrate it into a growing universe of cross-chain applications.”
