DCB World Expands Possibilities Of NFT Art With Chainlink VRF And Keepers

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) offer a host of new opportunities for creating, distributing, and collecting art. Those opportunities expand exponentially for on-chain artwork connected to real-world data through Chainlink’s decentralized oracle networks. DCB World is one such NFT project that’s integrating Chainlink oracles to push the boundaries of NFTs by combining them with the opportunity to win additional rewards.

The platform’s flagship prize game integrated Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) and Chainlink Keepers to create a secure, automated, decentralized, and transparent weekly prize game experience for 1,000,000 NFTs that combine the work of famed international artist Romero Britto with DCB World’s native AI NFT generator.

Considered the most licensed artist in history, Britto is known for his vibrant, iconic work that has led to collaborations with international brands such as Bentley, Coca-Cola, Walt Disney, and Universal Pictures. DCB World co-founder Najib Khanafer told Chainlink Today that Britto’s art was a perfect fit for DCB World’s debut NFT prize game.

“The footprint that Romero Britto left on the art scene is so big that it felt natural for us to approach him for this collaboration, as we see the impact Britto can have on the NFT space,” Khanafer said.

Each of Britto’s NFTs contains an embedded entry into a weekly online prize game offering the potential to win additional rewards. Prize drawings are automatically triggered by Chainlink Keeper’s decentralized smart contract automation service while Chainlink VRF ensures winners are selected in a verifiably random, auditable way.

The resulting NFTs hold unique value as art collectibles with ongoing utility in DCB World’s prize games.

“In a traditional setting, people would have thought the combination of art and lottery would not have been possible,” Khanafer explained. “Our mission is to deliver a first-of-its-kind prize game system while giving our audience a chance to own a lifetime collectible art piece by a legendary artist.”

He believes the beauty of NFT communities is the ability to bring people from a host of different backgrounds together to share meaningful experiences.

“At DCB World, promoting inclusiveness is one of our key values, and this is highly demonstrated in our Discord community, where you will find Britto fanatics, art collectors, NFT collectors, prize game lovers and people from different professional backgrounds,” he said.

Though the details of the platform’s next NFT prize game are under wraps, Khanafer revealed that it will be in collaboration with a prominent name in the music industry. And with more features like a Britto gallery and new gaming models on the horizon, he said, “DCB World’s entry to the metaverse is imminent.”
