Prediction market Myriad is leveraging industry-standard oracle platform Chainlink as the exclusive infrastructure for its 2026 FIFA World Cup prediction markets. The Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), a universal orchestration layer for building end-to-end institutional-grade smart contracts, will facilitate market resolution and settlement for the world’s biggest sporting event with more than six billion international fans.
The integration expands Myriad’s existing use of Chainlink. Last month, after a successful seed investment round, Myriad adopted CRE to power its 5-minute stock and crypto prediction markets, including markets for BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, and HYPE.
Chainlink powers 70% of global DeFi markets across 80+ networks and has enabled over $30 trillion in transaction value. The platform has emerged as essential infrastructure for prediction markets including Polymarket and Jupiter Exchange, as well as regulated crypto perps on Kalshi. FIFA World Cup’s official prediction market partner, ADI Predictstreet, has also adopted CRE.
Launched in early 2025 by Dastan, the parent company of Decrypt, Myriad’s onchain prediction markets are embedded directly into Decrypt’s news stories to create an interactive experience where users bet on outcomes and verify facts. CRE allows Myriad to replace slower, manual settlement methods with near-instant market settlement and user payment.
This year’s World Cup spans 48 teams, 104 matches, and 16 host cities throughout Canada, Mexico, and the United States, with more than 150 million ticket requests from fans in over 200 countries.
Myriad co-founder and COO Ilan Hazan highlighted the opportunity to “turn first-time users into long-term ones” by employing Chainlink’s oracle architecture during the world’s premier sporting event.
