As one of the top ten innovative organizations in the Blockchain, Crypto, Metaverse, and Web3 category, Chainlink Labs was recognized for “installing the plumbing for the decentralized economy.”
Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies is a definitive source of world-changing organizations across 58 industries and sectors, as evaluated by a team of Fast Company editors and reporters. This year, special recognition was given to blockchain, crypto, metaverse, and web3 organizations building and developing “the industry’s foundational pillars, whose roles in upholding the infrastructure of the space are only growing stronger.”
Chainlink Labs earned praise for tackling the blockchain industry’s interoperability problem through Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which transfers digital assets and data between chains. As illustrated by Swift’s proof of concept, which demonstrated how over 11,000 financial institutions can use CCIP to transact with a range of public and private blockchains, CCIP is poised to unite DeFi and TradFi on a global standard akin to TCP/IP.
By securely connecting capital markets to DeFi, CCIP is also accelerating the digital asset space, empowering traditional financial institutions such as Euroclear and ANZ to unlock exciting use cases for tokenized real-world assets that confer opportunities such as fractionalization and programmability.
