Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is the industry standard for facilitating cross-chain tokenized asset and information transfer. Leading DeFi protocols and decentralized exchanges as well as traditional financial institutions are integrating CCIP to unlock new use cases and markets for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) with unique onchain utility.
Today, Amino Rewards, a tokenized loyalty program that rewards users for regular exercise and purchases from health and fitness brands, announced its integration of CCIP on Ethereum and BNB Chain mainnets. Amino will leverage CCIP’s Simplified Token Transfer to enhance the security, composability, and cross-chain capabilities of its native token, AMO.
Amino Rewards aims to distinguish itself from earlier move-to-earn (M2E) protocols by expanding the M2E concept into a broader, more sustainable health and fitness rewards ecosystem and removing barriers to entry. Users do not need to possess an NFT or advanced cryptocurrency knowledge to participate and the protocol runs on a single token that combines rewards with utility.
CCIP achieves the highest level of cross-chain security by utilizing Chainlink’s time-tested oracle infrastructure, which has enabled $9.7+ trillion in transaction value, and a separate Risk Management Network that independently monitors cross-chain functions for erroneous activity.
Going cross-chain with CCIP allows Amino to access more liquidity, expand its ecosystem, streamline its architecture, and elevate its user experience by offering faster transactions, lower fees, and new incentive opportunities.
In an official announcement, Amino Rewards CEO Andrew Shore emphasized how CCIP advances Amino’s goal of revolutionizing health and fitness loyalty programs at scale.
“Integrating Chainlink CCIP was a strategic decision for Amino Rewards because it brings unparalleled reliability and security to our project and users, which helps provide a robust foundation on which the Amino Rewards platform can grow and thrive,” he said.
