As web3 expands and becomes more complex, applications that reside on a single blockchain seek solutions that allow them to continue scaling and innovating. Zero-knowledge rollups (zk-rollups) execute transactions in batches off-chain to reduce the amount of data posted on-chain without compromising security.
While zk-rollups improve an application’s speed and efficiency, they can be difficult to build and deploy from scratch. Airchains is a zk-rollup SDK that allows developers to quickly deploy modular rollups on a variety of layer-1 blockchains, maximizing design space for a diverse set of dApps across sectors such as account abstraction, decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePINs), DeFi, gaming, and NFTs.
Today, Airchains announced it’s officially joining Chainlink BUILD to accelerate adoption of its modular rollup solution through premium access to Chainlink’s industry-leading oracle services and its vast ecosystem of more than 1,800 web3 projects.
The Chainlink BUILD program fosters promising early-stage startups in Chainlink’s ecosystem, which receive enhanced access to key infrastructure and technical support in exchange for paying fees that incentivize Chainlink service providers and boost the network’s cryptoeconomic security.
As part of BUILD, Airchains will make 3% of its native token supply available to Chainlink service providers over time, while deepening its integration of essential Chainlink services including Chainlink Data Feeds to help power Airchains’ block explorer and Chainlink VRF as a source of verifiable on-chain randomness for gaming projects building with Airchains technology.
In an official announcement, Airchains founder Ankur Rakhi Sinha underscored the foundational role of Chainlink’s oracle services in the evolution of individual web3 projects and the ecosystem as a whole.
“No matter what you’re doing in Web3, Chainlink’s industry-leading Web3 services platform is relevant,” he said. “It truly unlocks Web3 innovation, both for Airchains and the many projects building on top of it. We’re very excited to be a part of the BUILD program, and we welcome the passionate Chainlink community to look deeper into our product offerings.”
