RAAC’s Kevin Rusher On Why Chainlink Build Is Instrumental To Tokenization

In a new video interview with Chainlink Today, Kevin Rusher, the founder and CEO of Regnum Aurum Acquisition Corp. (RAAC), explained how the decentralized lending and borrowing ecosystem is leveraging Chainlink’s infrastructure to accelerate the convergence of TradFi and DeFi by seamlessly bringing tokenized real-world assets onchain.

“I think over the next five years you’re going to start to see TradFi and DeFi melding together – it’s inevitable,” he said. “At RAAC, we find that institutions are ready to come on board; they’re just not quite sure how to.”

Last October, RAAC joined the Chainlink Build program to accelerate its ecosystem’s growth and the long-term adoption of tokenized real estate through enhanced access to Chainlink’s essential infrastructure and technical support.

Rusher emphasized how participation in Build helps projects like RAAC tackle everything from GTM to tokenomics. “It’s amazing to have that support throughout this entire process,” he said.

RAAC has also gained exposure to other teams in the Build ecosystem. Recently, RAAC launched the testnet for a $235M RWA platform to incorporate gold-backed and real estate-backed tokens from asset owners through leading institutional tokenization provider, Instruxi. Also a member of Build, Instruxi utilizes trust-minimized infrastructure from Chainlink and Space and Time to establish a golden thread between tokenized assets and the offchain assets they represent.

“It’s amazing because what [Instruxi is] able to do is track an RWA over its life cycle, and that’s totally done using Space and Time and Chainlink tech,” Rusher explained. “It’s instrumental to RAAC.”

He said Chainlink is at the forefront of building the future of finance onchain. Not only does Chainlink provide essential tokenization infrastructure; programs like Build empower the most innovative and influential projects to put the infrastructure to work in new and exciting ways.

“RAAC wouldn’t be where it is today without Chainlink. And to me Chainlink is the place where dreams do come true.”
