The Chainlink Scale program is designed to accelerate the growth of layer-1 and layer-2 ecosystems by giving developers enhanced access to Chainlink’s industry-leading web3 services. Today, Monad, a high-performance EVM-compatible layer-1, announced it joined Scale and is integrating Chainlink Data Feeds, as well as deploying Data Streams and Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on Monad Testnet.
Monad is designed to bring even the most demanding applications to scale with a throughput of over 10,000 transactions per second, near-zero gas fees, single-slot finality, and 0.5-second block times. Joining Scale allows Monad to empower developers with vital oracle services needed to build advanced applications that accelerate the network’s long-term growth and adoption.
Chainlink Data Feeds have reliably enabled over $20 trillion in transaction value even during volatile market conditions and adverse events such as flash loan attacks. Data Streams is a pull-based oracle solution that allows protocols to consume data more cost-effectively and at lower latencies while reducing the risk of frontrunning and MEV. This further expands DeFi’s reach by improving the user experience and powering advanced products that require lower gas fees and faster price updates.
CCIP leverages the same battle-tested Chainlink oracles to achieve the highest level of cross-chain security and features a separate Risk Management Network that independently monitors for suspicious activity. Additionally, CCIP’s Programmable Token Transfers allow tokens to move between chains with instructions for use on the destination chain, promoting advanced cross-chain applications.
“Chainlink’s proven infrastructure and ultra-reliable data feeds are essential to unlocking next-gen DeFi on Monad,” said the network’s co-founder and CEO, Keone Hon, in an official announcement.
“With tamper-proof data provided by the Chainlink standard, Monad developers can unlock powerful new use cases and user experiences,” added Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs.
“We look forward to a deep strategic relationship with the Monad ecosystem.”
