Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is the industry standard for digital asset and data transfer used by leading blockchains, layer-2s, DeFi protocols, and traditional financial institutions to unlock new use cases and markets for crypto, stablecoins, and tokenized assets.
This week, blockchain and internet of things (IoT) platform Jasmy announced its CCIP integration across the Base and Ethereum mainnets. CCIP’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard will facilitate cross-chain transfers of JASMY, an ERC-20 token with a $600M+ market cap, enhancing its liquidity and utility throughout the multi-chain economy.
JANCTION, a layer-2 blockchain incubated by the Jasmy community, will also adopt CCIP as its canonical cross-chain infrastructure to unlock secure cross-chain applications that drive the adoption of blockchain and IoT technologies.
Conceived as the Bitcoin of Japan, Jasmy’s tokenized platform combines blockchain and IoT technology to provide an infrastructure that promotes data sovereignty. The goal is to ensure users retain control of their personal data as their lives become increasingly connected online.
Leveraging Chainlink’s battle-tested decentralized oracle network, which has enabled over $19 trillion in transaction value across 20+ blockchains, CCIP achieves the highest level of cross-chain security and features a separate Risk Management Network that independently monitors for suspicious activity. The latest CCIP v1.5 upgrade allows developers on supported blockchains to turn any ERC-20-compatible token into a Cross-Chain Token.
“We’re excited to adopt the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard to power secure transfers of JASMY across Base and Ethereum,” said Jasmy Inc. CFO HARA in an official announcement. “As the standard for cross-chain interoperability, Chainlink CCIP is key to expanding across the multi-chain economy.”
“We’re excited to see Jasmy adopt the Chainlink standard and connect to the multi-chain ecosystem,” added Thodoris Karakostas, Head of Blockchain Partnerships at Chainlink labs. “Interoperability is a crucial component in the onchain economy, and we look forward to seeing how Jasmy leverages Chainlink CCIP to innovate across the blockchain industry.”
