Injective Adopts Chainlink As Preferred Oracle Solution

Today, Injective, a high-speed layer-1 blockchain optimized for building web3 finance applications, announced its adoption of Chainlink Data Streams as its preferred oracle infrastructure. Injective’s premier spot and derivatives exchange, Helix, will also upgrade to Data Streams to power its onchain perpetual futures markets.

Data Streams is a pull-based oracle solution that allows protocols to consume data more cost-effectively and at lower latencies while reducing the possibility of frontrunning and MEV. Leveraging Chainlink’s time-tested oracle infrastructure, which has enabled over $26 trillion in transaction value, Data Streams expand DeFi’s reach and unlock advanced products like perpetual futures contracts that require lower gas fees and faster price updates.

Developers on Injective now have access to Chainlink’s solution for delivering key U.S. government macroeconomic data onchain and providing real-time pricing for major U.S. equities and ETFs alongside crypto market feeds. Combined with Injective’s innovative order book, web3 modules, MultiVM infrastructure, shared liquidity, and real-world asset tokenization capabilities, Data Streams completes the toolkit for building advanced DeFi applications with the shortest time to market.

Chainlink’s institutional-grade pricing unlocks previously inaccessible DeFi functions such as tokenized stock trading, pre-IPO perpetuals, and synthetic equity products. The integration also accelerates the rate at which EVM developers migrate to Injective by allowing them to immediately leverage Chainlink’s low-latency oracle solution without building custom integrations. This positions Injective as a complete, production-ready infrastructure for the next wave of onchain financial application builders.
