Today, Gnosis, an EVM-compatible layer-1 network, announced it integrated Chainlink CCIP and Automation to provide developers with the blockchain interoperability and verifiable compute needed to build advanced applications with real-world utility.
Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is the industry-standard blockchain abstraction layer for leading DeFi protocols, decentralized exchanges, and traditional financial institutions.
Automation is a decentralized service that allows developers to automate critical onchain functions at regular time intervals or in response to external events, enhancing their user experience, increasing efficiency, and minimizing potential for human error.
Leveraging Chainlink’s time-tested oracle infrastructure, which has securely enabled over $12 trillion in transaction value, CCIP achieves the highest level of cross-chain security and features a separate Risk Management Network that independently monitors cross-chain functions for suspicious activity.
CCIP and Automation belong to Chainlink’s comprehensive suite of decentralized services that are vital for creating, securing, and updating tokenized real-world assets throughout the growing multi-chain economy.
Gnosis’ Head of Infrastructure, Philippe Schommers, described the integration of critical Chainlink services on Gnosis Chain’s highly decentralized network, secured by 200,000+ validators and 2,000+ nodes across 70 countries and five continents, as a significant leap toward broadening web3’s reach.
“We’re thrilled to integrate the industry-standard Chainlink CCIP and Automation on Gnosis,” he said in an official announcement. “Empowering Gnosis devs with cross-chain connectivity and verifiable compute enables them to develop powerful applications that solve real-world use cases. Ultimately, by providing mission-critical infrastructure, Gnosis and Chainlink are set to scale the Web3 ecosystem to mass adoption.”
“With Chainlink CCIP and Automation now live on Gnosis, devs have access to secure blockchain interoperability and verifiable compute,” said Thodoris Karakostas, Head of Blockchain Partnerships at Chainlink Labs. “With highly reliable, secure, and decentralized Chainlink services available on Gnosis’s scalable chain, developers have the infrastructure needed to develop next-gen applications and scale them to mass adoption.”
