ADGM And Chainlink Form Alliance To Advance Compliant Tokenization Frameworks

Today, ADGM, Abu Dhabi’s premier international financial center, and Chainlink, the standard for onchain finance, announced a strategic alliance to maximize the utility of tokenized assets in the UAE while ensuring regulatory compliance. The collaboration will strengthen innovative projects under ADGM’s Registration Authority through Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure, technical expertise, and industry experience.

Having enabled over $20 trillion in transaction value, Chainlink provides tokenized assets with secure and reliable data, proof of reserves, and cross-chain connectivity. Chainlink’s essential services including Price Feeds, Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), and Proof of Reserve (PoR) are widely adopted by leading DeFi protocols and some of the world’s largest financial institutions to unlock the value of tokenized assets onchain.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) outlines an array of educational events and workshops on key topics such as tokenization, interoperability, and proof of reserves to be held throughout the UAE ecosystem. The agreement also serves to promote a dialogue that helps shape regulatory matters around emerging blockchain and AI technologies.

In an official statement, Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADGM Registration Authority, described the relationship with Chainlink as a “significant step” toward advancing ADGM’s leadership in compliant blockchain innovation.

“By collaborating with Chainlink, we are aiming to set a global benchmark that spearheads transparency, security, and trust across the blockchain space,” he said.

Angie Walker, Global Head of Banking and Capital Markets at Chainlink Labs and Senior Executive Officer at Chainlink Labs Abu Dhabi, highlighted the potential for tokenization projects to thrive in ADGM’s “robust” environment bolstered by Chainlink.

“Our alliance will elevate the blockchain ecosystem in the UAE, driving greater innovation and adoption,” she said.

“We are excited to see projects under the purview of ADGM Registration Authority adopt the Chainlink standard, enabling seamless compliance, enhanced connectivity across markets, and highly secure on-chain services.”
